Revolutionise your process. The customer is manufacturing valve bodies for the general machining industry using a Femco horizontal machining center with semi-synthetic through-tool coolant. The parts are made from A36 steel. Previously, the customer was achieving a cycle time of 5 minutes and 13 seconds. The customer needs to decrease cycle time and improve performance overall. Allied’s Revolution Drill with indexable inserts achieved a 3 minute and 13 second cycle time, a 38% decrease over the competition along with an increased tool life from 32 holes to 48 for an overall improved process.
