Coolant Recommendation Example | Imperial If the recommended coolant pressure and flow is 600 PSI and 12 GPM for a 3xD tool, the adjusted pressure and flow for a 9xD tool would be: 600 x 1.2 = 720 PSI 12 x 1.2 = 14.4 GPM Coolant Recommendation Example | Metric If the recommended coolant pressure and flow is 42 bar and 32 LPM for a 3xD tool, the adjusted pressure and flow for a 9xD tool would be: 42 x 1.2 = 50.4 bar 32 x 1.2 = 38.4 LPM

NOTES: • Coolant must have proper addiƟves to prevent excessive foaming during drilling cycle. • PosiƟve displacement coolant pump is recommended to maintain coolant flow at recommended values. • The coolant filter must be less than 5 microns. Fine filtraƟon is necessary to prevent blockage of the smaller coolant holes of the solid carbide tool.
